Installation

Running Sophos is required on all RCS owned computers. Our current version is Sophos Endpoint Protection and on a Mac can be installed via Self Service. On a Windows computer, open a tech support ticket and we will reach out to schedule an appointment for installation.

See our technology usage policy for more details about why Sophos is required to be installed.

Sophos Endpoint settings are managed by the tech department. We do not block web pages or track your browser history. Sophos will however block Malicious web traffic and downloads using it's 'Real Time Scanning' and 'Runtime Protection' features. If Sophos does block traffic that you need access to, you may 'Override' the settings by checking the checkbox as shown below. This will allow you to disable individual or all settings for up to 4 hours then revert back to default after the 4 hours.
