Drive for Desktop
Save files for offline use
To save a file offline, make sure you have an app that can open your file. Note: Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides cannot be set as offline using the Drive for Desktop app. This has to be done through the web.
- Click the Drive for desktop Menu at the top right
. - Click on your riverdale.edu account to open Google Drive folder
. - Right-click the file or folder you want to save offline. Remember, only non-google files can be saved offline from drive for desktop
- Scroll to offline access.
- Click Available offline
- Once your file is saved offline, you'll see a green check mark next to it.
Open offline files from Drive for Desktop
- Click the Drive for desktop Menu at the top right .
- Click the gear icon
- Click offline files, both folders and files that have been saved from Drive desktop and Drive on the web should appear.
iPhone and iPad
Save files for offline use
- Open the app for Google Drive.
- Next to the file, tap More
. - To save a preview of the file offline, turn on Available offline.
Find files you saved for offline access
- Open the app for Google Drive Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
- Tap Menu
and then Offline.
Android

- Open the Drive app.
- Next to the file, tap More .
- To save a preview of the file offline, turn on Available offline.
