Connecting to the video wall system in the JRJSC Conference Room
The JRJSC Conference Room is primarily used as a meeting space with a video displaying one or two presentation sources connected to one of two possible input sources: a wall-plate with an HDMI cable and adapters, or through the WiFi network via an Apple TV. One or both of these sources can be used, either as a single source for display simultaneously on all screen designs, or split between screen designs with two possible views.
Connecting Cable Bundle
A cable bundle is affixed to the wall below the Touch Pad controller. Connect the appropriate adapter for your device to the end of the HDMI cable. If you have an AirPlay-capable device such as an iPhone, iPad or Macbook, using the Apple TV is usually a better choice as you can broadcast from any location in the room.
Using the Touch Pad
When the video wall system is powered down, a welcome screen with the RCS logo will be present. Touch the pad and you should be presented with a row of persistent icons on the top which represent various input sources: Apple TV, Wall Plate, Floor Box (unused), and Media Player 1 and Media Player 2. Underneath these input sources is a graphical representation of the current setup of the video wall, which can be used in one of four configurations: SIDE x SIDE, FULL, PRESENTATION 1 and PRESENTATION 2. Two configurations, SIDE x SIDE and PRESENTATION 2 can display video simultaneously from two different sources.
The two Media Player sources are not under user control, and are maintained by the school's Communications Department to show videos and slideshows.
