What is Schoology?
Schoology is a learning management system that allows students to communicate with their teachers and submit student work. This platform provides teachers a digital space to collaborate with students and provide purposeful feedback.
Logging in to Schoology
All Grade 4 and 5 students will be logging in to Schoology. Families will not be logging in at this time.
On a Chromebook/Computer
Login to the Clever page from the web browser of your choice. (we recommend Google Chrome)
- Navigate to Clever.com/in/riverdale
- Sign in using students Google Credentials
- Once signed in to Clever, select the Schoology app
- Click Login with Google to sign in using your child's Riverdale email address and passphrase.
Once logged in, you will see your Course Dashboard. You can also navigate between classes by clicking on the Courses Tab at the top of the page.

What can Students Access in Schoology
Students can access the following in their Schoology class pages:
- Remote Learning Schedule
- Assignments, links or discussions provided by homebase or special area teachers
Submitting an Assignment via Schoology
Students will complete their daily assignments provided by their teacher via their course in Schoology. Once their assignments are completed they will follow the steps below to submit their evidence of Learning:
- Navigate to the correct class by clicking the course tab at the top of the page
- Locate the assignment in the Schoology class page.
- Some teachers have opted to group assignments according to week. Search for the week first and then the subject/date of the assignment
- Select the submit assignment option to the right of the assignment
- You can upload a variety of things to Schoology.
- Ex. Audio clips, videos, documents or text
- You can upload a variety of things to Schoology.
- Make sure to select submit assignment so that your teachers receives your work

Approval and Comments
After submitting your response you will await your teachers comments! Faculty will provide feedback to students during synchronous sessions, via 1:1 check-ins, or directly through Schoology.
